Yes, my favorite color is purple and my parents actually named me Penelope. I don't know why. But as soon as I could defend myself, I demanded they call me something else. Somehow Penny took hold.
I'm Penny Seegers, a native Texan (Photo Coming Soon -- No, I'm not that pretty purple orchid). Although I consider myself a Houstonian, I have lived in Austin, Del Rio, and some other places around the state while growing up, always returning to Houston -- the best hometown in the world -- as soon as I could. At the moment, I'm living in the Bryan-College Station area while we build a ranch home. I haven't really left Houston, just expanded my service area to include both the Houston Metro area and Aggie Land.
Why wedding planning? Like a lot of Texas, I found my calling after trying other things. I was a real estate broker in Houston for many years helping property buyers and sellers through complicated transactions before deciding that helping people have perfect parties was as important as helping them find the perfect home -- this was after helping clients with house warming parties and other celebrations.
In addition to coming up with fun themes for parties, weddings, and business events, I can read and understand and help you negotiate contracts with your vendors to get the best deals and to assure performance.
